Core Classes

While the term "discipleship" is not found in the Bible, the principle certainly is. For us, discipleship is the journey of becoming more like Jesus. It is a process that happens in a close relationship with God and with others.

We believe discipleship can and should happen primarily in the context of the local church. Our goal is to teach and learn about God by making the Bible and theology accessible to everyone through life-changing learning environments within our church.

That is what our Core Classes are all about. We offer three different classes - one each semester - to build a strong core of Biblical literacy in each person and in our church.

Christian Story is a class that studies the whole Bible as a unified story that points to Jesus.

Christian Belief is a class that helps us understand what we believe as Christians and why we believe it.

Christian Formation is a class that studies what we should DO as Christians: practices of our faith.
