Peter Said It!
I Peter 1:22-25 - 2:1-3
"Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth
through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren,
love one another fervently with a pure heart,
having been born again, not of corruptible
seed but incorruptible, through the word of God
which lives and abides forever because
'All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass,
the grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
But the word of the Lord endures forever'
(Isaiah 40:8)
Now this is the word which by the gospel
was preached to you.
Wherefore, laying aside all malice,
all deceit, hypocricy, envy, and all
evil speaking as newborn babes,
desire the pure milk of the word,
that you may grow thereby, if indeed you
have tasted that the Lord is gracious."
Simon Peter
JESUS SAID IT...
John 13:34-35
"A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another
as I have loved you,
that you also love one another.
By this all will know tht you are
My disciples,
if you have love for one another."
Jesus Christ

What A Tremendous Admonition
for our Generation
As the Church of Jesus Christ we are to be known
by our love for One Another
We should not be known for "Bashing One Another"
but for "Loving One Another"
The following writing is from Robert Fulghum
and I find it very insightful for a Christian Life..

ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN
All I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be, I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sand box at school.
These things I learned.
* Share everything
* Play fair
* Don't hit people
* Put things back where you found them
* Clean up your own mess
* Don't take things that aren't yours
* Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody
* Wash your hands before you eat
* Flush
* Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you
* Live a balanced life--learn some, think some, draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work everyday
* Take a nap every afternoon
* When you go out in the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together
* Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the plastic cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that
* Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the plastic cup all die. So do we!
* And remember the "Dick and Jane" books and the first word you learned--the biggest word of all--LOOK
Everything you need to know is in there somewhere...The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation, Ecology and politics and equality and sane living.
Take any of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work-world and it holds true and clear and firm. (Apply it to your church life) Think what a better world it would be if we all--the whole world--had milk and cookies at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. Or if all governments had a basic policy to always put things back where they found them and to clean up their own mess.
And it is still true, no matter hold old you are, when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.
Church, we need to Share, Play Fair, Love and Hold Hands in this world. Because Jesus said, "they will know you are My disciples if you have love one to another!"
